Crescent H Ranch
History
Crescent H Ranch in Jackson Hole has a rich history dating back to 1927 when it was established as a dude ranch by Jack Hinz. Initially, it served as a retreat where guests could enjoy horseback riding, fishing, and hunting. Over the decades, the ranch evolved, but it has always remained a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.
In 1963, Don Albrecht acquired the property and later subdivided it into 750 acres for residential homesites and 750 acres dedicated to a ranch and recreation easement. This development ensured the preservation of the natural beauty and recreational opportunities that Crescent H Ranch offers. The ranch became the first Orvis-endorsed fishing lodge in 1985, emphasizing its premier fishing conditions.
Today, Crescent H Ranch is a unique residential community nestled between the Snake River and Bridger-Teton National Forest, about five miles south of Wilson, Wyoming. The area offers homeowners access to private spring creeks, hiking and skiing trails, and abundant wildlife. The community retains its rustic charm with historic lodges and cabins still standing, providing a blend of natural beauty and modern luxury.
